I'd anticipated the product offering a recoil reduction, but it seems very hard. The manufacturing process left some irregularities in the pad. Overall, the price does not fit the form and function. It's a shame because I don't want to alter the look of my shotgun by applying a loose fitting generic recoil sleeve.
*** BPA Response: The Kel-Tec Extended Pad is not as "soft" as a Remington extended pad (or other "spongy" pads), but it is more forgiving than the stock pad that comes on the gun. We've also found that it does give more comfort due to the better size, and it does get worked in after some shooting and time, and feels great (obviously that's a subjective statement). YMMV... ***

The extended butt pad makes it easier to mount the gun properly also recoil is lessened.
KSG extended butt pad not so great 
10/10 will buy again
